I. Introduction

The MekongSkills2Work Sourcebook: A Guide for Instructors provides instructional improvement tools that help learners learn new, job-focused skills, better preparing them for relevant and productive employment. The Sourcebook presents a process to build partnerships with employers to help learner be more work ready through improving the way instructors facilitate and structure their classes.

 

The mekongskills2work professional development model reforms postsecondary instruction by: 

  • Making it more relevant to employer's needs
  • Giving learners a taste of the work world before completing their training 
  • Taking advantage of existing high-quality online content
  • Involving the learners more actively in their own learning
  • Using technology to better engage learners in their own learning
  • Elevating the role of the instruction from a deliverer of content to a facilitator of learning

II. Objective of training 

Training of Trainer of Toolkits and Sourcebooks for Work Readiness will be lunched to meet the objectives as below: 

  • To introduce the 11 toolkits for teachers to improve the effectiveness in their teaching
  • To provide the practical teaching methods to apply in their teaching activities
  • To understand the innovation teaching methodologies to overcome the problems in traditional teaching
  • To increase the efficiencies in students’ learning and understanding.​
